Hyped to say issue 201 of sidewalk has landed through ole shralps door with a 4 page write up and photos from this years WOTT carnage at North Berwick and Aberdeen. It's worth buying solely to read Jah Ruler's verbal insults/praise to all the lads that turned up to skate. Plus some pretty class captions created by SYB, Ronso and Kerr.

Me and Tam hit this pretty well known spot in EK a few weeks back. It looks good but is a pain in the arse to get into a session on it. As usual Tam had a shit to throw down. This is one of said tricks. Getting up and out of that bank to wall is GNAR.

Hella thursday club sesh @ Livi SYB has been taking a bit of time tae get back intae the swing of thing but the Livi sesh on thursday night with ALL THE LADS helped. Fucking brilliant to see everybody skating in one place having a good time and a good laugh. Everybody was killing it, in the new and old parks of the park. Evidence provided below...

WOTT is gonna be Demonic!

War of the Thistles is happening this weekend just incase any cunt out there forgot!

Basic run down of the times is doors open for 12pm both days at North Berick, The Space on Saturday and then Transition Extreme on Sunday. The comp will then start around 2ish both days. Possibly a little later on the sunday in A'deen....

Vert Party 2 Eve

A wee bit o hype fur the moro and all the lads heading to The Space in North Berwick, have a fucking rad sesh/comp. A prime example of some hype is just trying shit on vert. Doesn't have to be 5ft oot it, just getting to the coping can get ye stoked. Dunder looks pretty happy wi this 5-0 tailgrab. Why no eh?

SYB FRIDAY 666 - 1st March

Raw street footage fresh from the shred tonight. Altho the ground was damp a few of the lads went on a little spot hunt. Mainly hitting up some pretty gash spots but sometimes they can be a laugh. Prime example is Weri here ragging in off a shoddy rail into shitty bank!

A wild spot was checked but wet so will be documented in the coming weeks - GNARLIER.

SYB FRIDAY 666 - Friday 11th Jan

Had an impromtu sesh at the Radworx indoor skatepark with Ross Hickey (DMC, SYB, GSS, Part-time Toker) and Murray (DMC, SYB, YMCA) on Sunday there. Paris and Shady were 'working' tae so there was a decent crew tae fire up a wee sesh.

Hickey spewed after making a trick, Murray started throwing down YMCA poses while skating, Shady sweated a shit load, SYB got mockit and Paris fucking smashed it. All in all a worth while jaunt. Part 2 with Paris will drop at the weekend fuckers.

SYB FRIDAY 666 - 4th January

Well Happy New Year Concrete Demons! Hope ye all had a good one, especially those lucky enough to feel oot a fresh grind on some proper concrete yesterday wi places like Saughton drying up just enough for a wee shralp.

Indoor beckons...

Looks like its gonna be a fucking stinking wet winter this year. Which means the inevitable migration tae the undercover shred option. Unit 23 decided to redo room 1 with a new layout. It's more orientated toward BMX but it's still shreddable.

Bouncy Rail that I've never seen hit

It's at one of the most rinsed out and hated spots in Glasgow, but I have no idea if anyone has skated this before at the Kingston bridge?! It's a tricky little thing to skate (ask the lad Hickey) - but with some skater ingenuity and a few asian dude's traffic cones we were sorted. When hitting it ye gotta try and compensate for the bounce back which looked a bastard... but eventually Murray smashed out a Nosegrind. It's worth hitting this if yer sesh gets washed out in Glasgow but prepare to get hassled by some wee asian dude.

A mighty Bunker barge.

Being invited to closed doors sesh is something to get hella hyped about so when SYB got the nod it was fucking on! Skating a rad wee setup with some shredders, indoor on a soaking night and yer jamming. Add in some classic heavy tunes and a bar only metres from the ramps and SYB is in fucking skate heaven! Here's just a few of the things that went down. Menzies and Seth were on fucking fire like molten hot lava or something similar that is extremely flammable.

SYB FRIDAY 666 - 5th October

It's a pretty bad feeling when ye lose your hype for skateboarding which kind of happened to ole SYB. So apologies for lack of decent posts lately. SYB is trying to pull out the finger.

It happens to every shralper at point I guess but I'm hoping there might be some upsides to this shite downer -
1. You get to feel that initial insane adrenaline again when you rediscover the hype.
2. There are skate photos and videos out there that will hopefully get that love of skateboarding back.

I was looking through some photos I took recently and thought about the fact there are always different angles to approach skateboarding - which makes it so amazing. So maybe a gnarly angle and sick skate photo will help find some of that fucking hype again....?! What a depressing ramble.
